Kṛṣṇa’s Ethical Counsel to Duryodhana
iti śrīmahābhārate udyogaparvaṇi bhagavadyānaparvaṇi gālavacarite trayoviṁśatyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ
This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it teaches indirectly by framing the episode within the Mahābhārata’s ethical architecture—actions and vows (as in Gālava’s story) are evaluated in the wider context of dharma and the looming conflict that demands discernment and restraint.
The text is closing the chapter: it identifies the work (Mahābhārata), the book (Udyoga Parva), the internal section (Bhagavad-yāna), and the sub-episode (Gālava-carita), and then states that this is the 123rd chapter.
