Nārada on Mādhavī’s Asceticism and the Scrutiny of Yayāti in Heaven

Educational Q&A

Duty is completed with propriety: one seeks permission, restores what was entrusted, and withdraws without attachment. The verse highlights ethical closure—consent (anujñā), rightful return to the guardian, and the agent’s renunciant departure.

Gālava takes leave of Garuḍa (Suparṇa), escorts the princess back to her father, and then goes to the forest. It marks the conclusion of his role after the obligations connected with the broader Mādhavī–guru-dakṣiṇā narrative have been fulfilled.
