नारदकथितं माधव्याः तपश्चर्या–ययातेः स्वर्गविचारः | Nārada on Mādhavī’s Asceticism and the Scrutiny of Yayāti in Heaven
जातो दानपति: पुत्रस्त्वया शूरस्तथापर: । सत्यधर्मरतक्षान्यो यज्वा चापि तथापर:
jāto dānapatiḥ putras tvayā śūras tathāparaḥ | satyadharmaratakṣānyo yajvā cāpi tathāparaḥ ||
ナーラダは言った。「汝より、施しを司る子が生まれ、また別の子は勇士として生まれた。さらに一人は真実とダルマに心を寄せ、もう一人はヤジュニャ(祭祀)を執り行う者でもある。」
नारद उवाच
The verse praises a lineage by highlighting distinct virtues embodied by different sons—generosity, heroism, commitment to truth and dharma, forbearance, and sacrificial piety—implying that ethical excellence can manifest in multiple complementary forms.
