Haryaśva’s Agreement with Gālava and the Birth of Vasumanā
Nārada’s narration
प्रतिगृह्य च तां कन््यां गालव: सह पक्षिणा । पुनर्द्रक्ष्याव इत्युक्त्वा प्रतस्थे सह कन््यया
pratigṛhya ca tāṁ kanyāṁ gālavaḥ saha pakṣiṇā | punardrakṣyāva ity uktvā pratasthē saha kanyayā ||
乙女を受け取ると、ガーラヴァは鳥とともに旅立ち、「また会おう」と告げて、乙女を伴い出発した。
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights ethical responsibility after acceptance: one should act with clarity, keep one’s word, and maintain respectful boundaries—especially when another person is placed in one’s care.
Nārada narrates that Gālava accepts the maiden and then departs with her, accompanied by a bird, after saying, “We shall meet again,” indicating a purposeful journey and a pledged future meeting.
