Educational Q&A

This line is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse; its function is to frame the reading ethically and narratively by locating the chapter within the Udyoga Parva (a context of strenuous effort, diplomacy, and looming conflict) and within the exemplary tale of Gālava, which is traditionally used to reflect on duty, resolve, and right conduct.

The statement signals the close of the chapter: it announces that the 112th chapter has ended, and it identifies the larger textual setting—Udyoga Parva, the Bhagavad-yāna section, and the Gālava episode—so the listener/reader knows where the narration stands within the Mahābhārata’s unfolding events.
