Educational Q&A

The verse points to the steadiness of cosmic law: the luminaries move in fixed, continual cycles. By analogy, dharma—especially the protection of sacred places and the faithful performance of duty—should be carried out with the same regularity and vigilance.

Yuparṇa describes a particular place marked by a “great gate,” emphasizing that it is guarded, and frames the scene within a cosmic backdrop where stars, Moon, and Sun perpetually revolve—signaling an ordered, sanctified setting and the presence of watchful protectors.
