Mātali’s Proposal for Guṇakeśī and Sumukha’s Audience with Indra
क्रियतामत्र यत्नो वै प्रीतिमानस्म्यनेन वै । अस्मै नागाय वै दातु प्रियां दुहितरं मुने,“मैं इससे बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ। आप इसीके लिये यत्न कीजिये। मुने! मैं इसी नागको अपनी प्यारी पुत्री देना चाहता हूँ”
kriyatām atra yatno vai prītimān asmy anena vai | asmai nāgāya vai dātuṁ priyāṁ duhitaraṁ mune ||
「私は彼にまことに満足している。この件に力を尽くしてくれ。おお、牟尼よ、わが愛しき娘をこのナーガに嫁がせたいのだ。」
नारद उवाच
