万有の生きとし生けるものに礼拝されると、ヴァーサヴァ(インドラ)は一切の衆生を慰め、安んじさせた。敵を討ち果たしたのち、神々とともにその心は歓喜に満ちた。
शल्य उवाच
Even when force is used to remove a threat, dharmic leadership requires restoring reassurance and stability for all beings; victory is ethically incomplete without consoling and protecting those affected.
Śalya describes Indra (Vāsava) after killing an enemy: all beings salute him, he feels elated along with the gods, and he then comforts and reassures the beings who look to him for protection.
