स्वर्गे दुर्योधनदर्शनम् | Duryodhana Seen in Heaven

ये ते वीरा महात्मानो भ्रातरो मे महाव्रता: । सत्यप्रतिज्ञा लोकस्य शूरा वै सत्यवादिन:

ye te vīrā mahātmāno bhrātaro me mahāvratāḥ | satyapratijñā lokasya śūrā vai satyavādinaḥ ||

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「その英雄たち—我が兄弟たち—は大いなる魂を備え、大誓願に堅く、誓いを守ることで世に知られ、真に勇敢で、真実に仕える者であった。もし罪深きドゥルヨーダナ—ダルマの名すら知らず、生涯にわたり大地のあらゆる善意の者を裏切り、その怨みによって馬・象・人をも含む世界が滅び、復讐の怒りの中で我らもまた焼かれた—が、この英雄の永遠の境地に至ったというのなら、我が兄弟たちは今いかなる境地にあるのか。私は彼らに会いたい。さらに、真実に堅く立つクンティーの子、偉大なるカルナにも会いたい。」
