जुद्वानोडग्निं यथाकालमुभौ कालावुपस्पृशन् | कृश: परिमिताहारश्चर्मचीरजटाधर:,दोनों समय स्नान करके यथासमय अग्निहोत्र करूँगा और परिमित आहार करके शरीरको दुर्बल कर दूँगा। मृगचर्म तथा वल्कल वस्त्र धारण करके सिरपर जटा रखूँगा
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | juhvāno 'gnim yathākālam ubhau kālāv upaspṛśan | kṛśaḥ parimitāhāraś carmacīrajāṭādharaḥ ||
ユディシュティラは言った。「定められた二つの時刻に沐浴し、しかるべき時に聖火供養(アグニホートラ)を捧げよう。食を量り、身が痩せ細るまで節制して生きる。鹿皮と樹皮の衣をまとい、頭には結髪(ジャター)を戴き、苦行の規律ある生を受け入れる。」
युधिछिर उवाच
