आरुह्ा वा वेश्म तथैव शून्यं स्थलं प्रकाशं कुशकाशहीनम् । वागड्जदोषान् परिहृत्य सर्वान् सम्मन्त्रयेत् कार्यमहीनकालम्
āruhya vā veśma tathaiva śūnyaṁ sthalaṁ prakāśaṁ kuśa-kāśa-hīnam | vāg-aṅga-doṣān parihṛtya sarvān sammantrayeta kāryam ahīna-kālam ||
ビーシュマは言った。「上階の一室に上るか、あるいはクシャ草（kuśa）やカーシャ草（kāśa）の生えていない、人気のない開けた平地に坐すがよい。言葉と身の振る舞いにおけるあらゆる過失を捨て、しかるべき時を取り逃がさぬよう、これから為すべき務めについて密かに熟議せよ。」
