Treasury Security, Protection of Informants, and the Kalakavṛkṣīya Exemplum (Śānti Parva 83)

इति राष्ट्र परिपतन्‌ बहुभि: पुरुषैः सह | सर्वेषां राजयुक्तानां दुष्करं परिदृष्टवान्‌,यही कहते हुए वे बहुतेरे मनुष्योंके साथ उस राष्ट्रमें सब ओर घूमते फिरे। उन्होंने राजकार्यमें लगे हुए समस्त कर्मचारियोंका दुष्कर्म अपनी आँखों देखा

iti rāṣṭra-paripatan bahubhiḥ puruṣaiḥ saha | sarveṣāṃ rājayuktānāṃ duṣkaraṃ paridṛṣṭavān |

ビーシュマは言った。「そう言いながら、彼は多くの者を伴って国中を巡った。その巡察の途上、王の政務に携わる者たちの、看過しがたい不正の数々を自らの眼で見届けたのである。」
