Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca rājavṛttaṃ mahārāja śṛṇuṣvāvahito 'khilam | yat kāryaṃ pārthivenādau pārthivaprakṛtena vā ||

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「大王よ、王の作法と政道の全てを、心を澄まして聞かれよ。統治者がまず何をなすべきか—また同様に、天性と義務によって王に仕え、王務を担うにふさわしい者が何をなすべきかを、我は語ろう。」
