Āśrama-dharma: Duties of the Four Life-Stages (आश्रमधर्मः)
यत् स्कन्नमस्य तत् पूर्व यदस्कन्नं तदुत्तरम् | बहूनि यज्ञरूपाणि नानाकर्मफलानि च
yat skannam asya tat pūrvaṁ yad askannaṁ tad uttaram | bahūni yajñarūpāṇi nānākarmaphalāni ca ||
ビーシュマは言った。「この儀において『スカンナ』（skanna）と呼ばれる供献は先（前供）であり、『アスカンナ』（askanna）と呼ばれる供献は後（続供、あるいは結びの供献）である。このように祭祀には多くの形があり、そこに伴う行為と意図に応じて、さまざまな果が生ずる。」
