rathā nāgā hayāś caiva pādātāś caiva pāṇḍava | viṣṭinaviś carāś caiva deśikā iti cāṣṭamam ||
ビーシュマは言った。「パーンダヴァよ、これらもまた部類として数えられる。すなわち、戦車兵、象兵、騎兵、歩兵。さらに viṣṭi（徴発された労役・夫役）、遊撃・不正規の兵、そして土地の案内人—これをもって第八の類となる。」
