Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca evam ukte nāradena bhīṣmam īyur narādhipāḥ | praṣṭuṃ ca aśaknuvantas te vīkṣāṃ cakruḥ parasparam |

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。ナーラダがそのように語ると、諸王はビーシュマのもとへ近づいた。だが彼に問う勇気が出ず、互いに顔を見合わせ、誰かが先に口を開くのを待った――敬うべき長老の前でのためらいと、求めるダルマの重みがそこに現れていた。
