कि पुनश्नात्मनो लोकानुत्तमानुत्तमैर्गुणै: । तदस्य तप्यमानस्य ज्ञातीनां संक्षयेन वै
ki punaśnātmano lokān uttamān uttamaiḥ guṇaiḥ | tad asya tapyamānasya jñātīnāṃ saṃkṣayeṇa vai
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「では、最も高貴な徳によって人が自らのために得うる至高の世界はどうなのか。だが彼にとっては――悔恨の炎に焼かれるそのとき――自らの一族の滅亡こそが、ただそれだけが、苦悩の因となった。」
