Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages
नाचिन्तयत् तदा शापं तेन दत्तं महात्मना । तस्य पुत्रास्तु बलिन: शापेनासन् _पितुर्वधे,अतः उसने उस समय उन महात्माके दिये हुए शापपर कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया। शापवश उसके बलवान पुत्र ही पिताके वधमें कारण बन गये
nācintayat tadā śāpaṃ tena dattaṃ mahātmanā | tasya putrās tu balinaḥ śāpenāsan pitur vadhe ||
ヴァースデーヴァは言った。「その時、彼は大いなる聖者が下した呪詛を少しも顧みなかった。だがまさにその呪詛の力によって、彼の屈強な息子たちが父の死の因となったのである。」
वासुदेव उवाच
Disregarding a righteous warning—especially a curse uttered by a spiritually authoritative person—does not nullify its moral force; consequences can mature in unexpected ways, even turning one’s own strengths (such as powerful sons) into instruments of downfall.
Vāsudeva explains that the person concerned ignored the curse at the moment it was given, but later, due to that curse, his strong sons became the direct cause of their father’s death.
