Service to Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Allocation of State Duties
मन्त्रे च निश्चये चैव षाड्गुण्यस्य च चिन्तने । विदुरं बुद्धिसम्पन्नं प्रीतिमान् स समादिशत्,फिर उन्होंने बड़ी प्रसन्नताके साथ बुद्धिमान् विदुरजीको मन्त्रणाःं, कर्तव्यनिश्चय तथा छहों- गुणोंके चिन्तनके कार्यमें नियुक्त किया
mantre ca niścaye caiva ṣāḍguṇyasya ca cintane | viduraṃ buddhisampannaṃ prītimān sa samādiśat ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。喜びをもって王は、賢智に満ちたヴィドゥラを、政務の諮問、なすべきことの確かな決断、そして国政の六つの原理の熟考という務めに任じた。かくして政略は衝動ではなく、知恵と倫理的慎慮によって導かれるのである。
