स संवृतस्तदा विप्रैराशीर्वादविवक्षुभि: । शुशुभे विमलश्नन्द्रस्तारागणवृतो यथा
sa saṁvṛtas tadā viprair āśīrvāda-vivakṣubhiḥ | śuśubhe vimalaś candras tārā-gaṇa-vṛto yathā ||
そのとき、祝福を授けようとする婆羅門たちに囲まれて、王はひときわ輝いた。まるで群星に取り巻かれた、曇りなき月のように。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Righteous kingship is strengthened by the goodwill and blessings of the learned and virtuous; moral authority and social harmony are portrayed as arising when rulers are aligned with dharma and honored by brāhmaṇas.
Vaiśampāyana describes the king (contextually Yudhiṣṭhira) being surrounded by brāhmaṇas eager to pronounce blessings, and compares his radiance in that assembly to the pure moon encircled by stars.
