ब्राह्मणास्त्वां महाबाहो भ्रातरक्ष महौजस: । पर्जन्यमिव घर्मान्ति नाथमाना उपासते,महाबाहो! जैसे वर्षाकालमें लोग मेघकी ओर टकटकी लगाये देखते हैं--उससे जलकी याचना करते हैं, उसी प्रकार ये सारे ब्राह्मण और आपके ये महातेजस्वी भाई आपसे धैर्य धारण करनेकी प्रार्थना करते हुए आपके पास बैठे हैं

Transliteration

brāhmaṇās tvāṃ mahābāho bhrātṛ-rakṣa mahaujasāḥ | parjanyam iva gharmānte nāthamānā upāsate ||

Translation

ヴァーユは言った。「強き腕を持つ者よ、これらのバラモンと、偉力ある汝の兄弟たちは汝の傍らに座し、汝の庇護を求め、堅く踏みとどまれと促している。酷暑の終わりに灼かれた人々が雨雲を見つめ、水を乞うように、彼らは汝を拠り所として仰いでいるのだ。」
