पितामहसुतं ज्येष्ठ॑ कुमारं दीप्ततेजसम्‌ । अध्यात्मगतितत्त्वज्ञमुपाशिक्षत य: पुरा

Transliteration

pitāmaha-sutaṁ jyeṣṭhaṁ kumāraṁ dīpta-tejasam | adhyātma-gati-tattva-jñam upāśikṣata yaḥ purā ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。かつて彼は、祖父（ブラフマー）の長子にして光輝赫々たるサナトクマーラより、霊我の内なる道とその帰趨の真理を知る者として、アートマンの学（アディヤートマ）を授かった。
