अध्याय ३५१ — उञ्छवृत्ति-व्रतसिद्धेः मानुषस्य परमगतिः

Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic

रूपाण्यनेकान्यसृजत्‌ प्रादुर्भावे भवाय स: । वाराहं नारसिंहं च वामनं मानुषं तथा

rūpāṇy anekāny asṛjat prādurbhāve bhavāya saḥ | vārāhaṃ nārasiṃhaṃ ca vāmanaṃ mānuṣaṃ tathā ||

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。世の安寧のため、顕現の時に、彼は多くの姿をとった——猪(ヴァラーハ)、人獅子(ナラシンハ)、小人(ヴァーマナ)、そして人の姿もまた——必要に応じて現れ、法(ダルマ)を支え、衆生を守護したのである。
