यदासीच्चाक्षुषं जन्म द्वितीयं ब्रह्मणो नृूप । तदा पितामहेनैव सोमाद्‌ धर्म: परिश्रुत:

yad āsīc cākṣuṣaṁ janma dvitīyaṁ brahmaṇo nṛpa | tadā pitāmahenaiva somād dharmaḥ pariśrutaḥ ||

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「王よ、創造主ブラフマーが『チャークシュシャ』(Cākṣuṣa・マンヴァンタラ)と呼ばれる第二の誕生に入ったとき、その時ダルマは聞き伝えられ、受け継がれた――祖父神ピターマハ自らが、ソーマより授け伝えたのである。」
