Vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca: etad dhayaśiro rājann ākhyānaṃ tava kīrtitam | purāṇaṃ vedasamitaṃ yan māṃ tvaṃ paripṛcchasi ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「王よ、そなたが我に問うた、ヴェーダにかなうと認められたハヤグリーヴァの古き物語を、いま語り終えた。求めていた尊き、ヴェーダに即した伝承は、かくしてしかるべく説き明かされたのだ。」
