त्वया विनिर्मितो<हं वै वेदचक्षुर्वयोतिग: । ते मे वेदा हताश्चक्षुरन्धो जातो5स्मि जागृहि

Transliteration

tvayā vinirmito'haṃ vai vedacakṣur vayotigaḥ | te me vedā hatāś cakṣur andho jāto'smi jāgṛhi ||

Translation

ヴァイシャṃパーヤナは言った。「まことに汝こそ我を造り、我が『眼』をヴェーダとし、老いの脆さをも超えさせた。だが今、その我がヴェーダは滅び、視力は打ち砕かれた。我は盲となった――目覚めよ、起て、我を回復せしめよ。」
