प्रीतस्ततो5स्य भगवान् देवदेव: पुरातन: । साक्षात् तं दर्शयामास सो<दृश्यो5न्येन केनचित्,उस समय पुराणपुरुष देवाधिदेव भगवान् नारायणने प्रसन्न होकर राजाको प्रत्यक्ष दर्शन दिया; परंतु दूसरे किसीको उनका दर्शन नहीं हुआ
prītastato 'sya bhagavān devadevaḥ purātanaḥ | sākṣāt taṃ darśayāmāsa so 'dṛśyo 'nyena kenacit ||
そのとき、古より「神々の神」と称される福徳の主ナーラーヤナは彼を喜び、王にみずからの直接の顕現を授けた。だが他の誰にとっても、主はなお見えざるままであった。
भीष्म उवाच
Divine revelation (darśana) arises from the Lord’s pleasure and grace, not from external conditions alone. The verse underscores that spiritual experience is inwardly conditioned—earned through devotion and merit—and may remain inaccessible to others even when they are nearby.
Bhīṣma narrates that the ancient supreme deity Nārāyaṇa became pleased with the king and granted him a direct, personal vision. At the same time, the Lord did not become visible to anyone else, emphasizing the exclusivity of the granted theophany.
