सूर्यकी प्रभा फीकी पड़ गयी। आग प्रज्वलित नहीं होती थी। सरोवर, सरिता और समुद्र सभी क्षुब्ध हो उठे ।। ववर्ष वासवस्तोयं रसवच्च सुगन्धि च । ववौ समीरणश्चापि दिव्यगन्धवह: शुचि:
vavarṣa vāsavastoyaṁ rasavac ca sugandhi ca | vavau samīraṇaś cāpi divyagandhavahaḥ śuciḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。インドラは雨を降らせた――滋味に満ち、命を潤し、しかも芳香を帯びた水である。同時に、清らかな風が吹き起こり、天上の香りを運んで四方に満たした。
