Agni–Soma Origin and the Brahmāgnīṣomīya Doctrine
यश्नतुर्भ्य: समुद्रेभ्यो वायुर्धारयते जलम् । उद्धृत्याददते चापो जीमूते भ्यो5म्बरेडनिल:
yajñatubhyaḥ samudrebhyo vāyur dhārayate jalam | uddhṛtyādadate cāpo jīmūtebhyo 'mbare 'nilaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「海より風は水を支え、汲み上げる。汲み上げられた水は、同じ風によって天空において雲の群れとして集められる。ゆえに『ウダーナ』と呼ばれる生命の風—大いなるヴァーユとして讃えられるもの—は、四海の水を引き上げて雲に据え、雲と水とを結び合わせて、雨として次へと委ねるのである。この教えは、自然が秩序と務めに従って働くことを示す。最も強大な力でさえ、気まぐれではなく、規律ある奉仕によって世界を支える管理者として行動する。」
