Yajña-bhāga-vyavasthā and the Pravṛtti–Nivṛtti Framework (यज्ञभागव्यवस्था तथा प्रवृत्तिनिवृत्तिधर्मविवेचनम्)
सोअभिध्यानाद् ब्राह्मणस्य पराभूयादसंशयम् । स्वयम्भू ब्रह्माने यहाँ देवताओंकी स्तुतिके लिये वेदोंकी सृष्टि की है। जो मोहवश वेदके पारंगत ब्राह्मणकी निन्दा करता है
bhīṣma uvāca | so’bhidhyānād brāhmaṇasya parābhūyād asaṁśayam | svayambhū brahmāṇa iha devatā-stuti-kṛte vedānāṁ sṛṣṭiṁ kṛtavān | yo mohavaśād veda-pāraṅgataṁ brāhmaṇaṁ nindati sa tasya aniṣṭa-cintanena niḥsaṁdehaṁ parābhavaṁ prāpnoti |
ビーシュマは言った。「バラモンに対して敵意を抱き、害意を思い巡らす者は、疑いなくその悪念そのものによって滅びに至る。ここに自生のブラフマーは、神々を讃えるためにヴェーダを創造した。ゆえに無明に惑わされ、ヴェーダに通暁したバラモンをそしる者は、他者の害を思う心ゆえに、必ず敗北と不幸に落ちる。」
भीष्म उवाच
Malicious fixation and verbal censure directed at a Veda-mastered Brahmin is adharma and becomes self-destructive; ill-will (aniṣṭa-cintana/abhidhyāna) ripens into one’s own downfall (parābhava).
In Bhishma’s instruction during the Śānti Parva, he warns about the ethical and karmic danger of reviling learned Brahmins, grounding the warning in the sacred status of the Vedas as created by Svayambhū Brahmā for divine praise.
