स्तुत्यर्थमिह देवानां वेदा: सृष्टा: स्वयम्भुवा । यो निर्वदेत सम्मोहाद् ब्राह्मणं वेदपारगम्
stutyartham iha devānāṃ vedāḥ sṛṣṭāḥ svayambhuvā | yo nirvadet sammohād brāhmaṇaṃ vedapāragam |
ビーシュマは言った。「ここにおいて、ヴェーダは自生者（ブラフマー）によって、神々を讃えるために創られた。ゆえに、迷妄によってヴェーダの『彼岸』に到った（すなわちヴェーダに通暁した）バラモンを罵る者は、聖なる秩序と正しい行いの根本に背くのである。」
