कस्यां चोत्पादयामास शुकं व्यासस्तपोधन: । न हास्य जननीं विद्य जन्म चाग्र्यं महात्मन:
Translation
苦行の富を備えたヴィヤーサは、いかなる女性の胎にシュカを生じさせたのでしょうか。あの大いなる魂の母の名も、またその卓越した誕生の由来も、私どもは存じません。
