वेदवादांस्तथा चित्रानृतूनां पर्ययांस्तथा । क्षयं संवत्सराणां च मासानां च क्षयं तथा
vedavādāṁs tathā citrān ṛtūnāṁ paryayāṁs tathā | kṣayaṁ saṁvatsarāṇāṁ ca māsānāṁ ca kṣayaṁ tathā ||
ビーシュマは言った。「ヴェーダに説かれる多様にして驚くべき言葉をも省みよ。季節の移ろいを、そして年も月も等しく絶え間なく過ぎ去る時の流れをも省みよ。万物が変転し衰えゆくのを見て、人は明晰さと揺るがぬ心をもって己が務め（ダルマ）を定めるべきである。」
