युवा श्यामो लोहिताक्षो मातज़् इव यूथप: । आजानुबाहु: सुमुख: सिंहस्कन्धो महाभुज:,“श्रीरामचन्द्रजी नवयुवक और श्याम वर्णवाले थे। उनकी आँखोंमें कुछ-कुछ लालिमा शोभा देती थी। वे यूथयति गजराजके समान शक्तिशाली थे। उनकी बड़ी-बड़ी भुजाएँ घुटनोंतक लंबी थीं। उनका मुख सुन्दर और कंधे सिंहके समान थे

Transliteration

yuvā śyāmo lohitākṣo mātaga iva yūthapaḥ | ājānubāhuḥ sumukhaḥ siṁhaskandho mahābhujaḥ ||

Translation

風神ヴァーユは言った。「ラーマは若く、肌は黒く、眼にはやわらかな赤みが差していた。象の群れを率いる長のごとく力強く、腕は膝に届くほど長い。顔立ちは端正で、肩は獅子のように逞しく、腕もまた大いなる力を備えていた。」
