इमा हि देवता: सर्वा ऋषयश्न परंतप । तव क्रोधान्महादेव न शान्तिमुपलेभिरे,शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले महादेव! ये सब देवता और ऋषि आपके क्रोधसे संतप्त होकर कहीं शान्ति नहीं पा रहे हैं
imā hi devatāḥ sarvā ṛṣayaś ca parantapa | tava krodhān mahādeva na śāntim upalebhire ||
ビーシュマは言った。「敵を屈する者よ――大いなる神マハーデーヴァよ――ここにいるすべての神々と聖仙たちは、あなたの憤怒に灼かれて安らぎを得られぬ。あなたの怒りは世界を焼き尽くす熱となり、最上の者たちさえ、それが鎮められるまで心休まらぬのだ。」
