महेश्वर उवाच सुरैरेव महाभागे पूर्वमेतदनुछितम् । यज्ञेषु सर्वेषु मम न भाग उपकल्पित:
Maheśvara uvāca: surair eva mahābhāge pūrvam etad anuṣṭhitam | yajñeṣu sarveṣu mama na bhāga upakalpitaḥ ||
マヘーシュヴァラは言った。「高貴なる御方よ、これは遠い昔、神々自身が定めた取り決めである。あらゆる供犠において、我には一切の分け前が割り当てられなかった。ゆえに彼らの先の決定により、我は供物の分配から除かれたのだ。」
