अध्याय २८१ — दानधर्मः, न्यायागतधनम्, ऋणत्रय-परिशोधनं च

Dāna ethics, lawful wealth, and settling obligations

वज़्िणं मृगयामास तदा भरतसत्तम | धर्मज्ञ राजेन्द्र! भरतसत्तम! उसके सारे अंग रक्तसे भींगे हुए थे। उसने चीर और वल्कल पहन रखे थे। ऐसे विकराल रूपवाली वह भयानक ब्रह्महत्या वृत्रके शरीरसे निकलकर तत्काल ही वज्रधारी इन्द्रको खोजने लगी

vajriṇaṁ mṛgayāmāsa tadā bharatasattama | dharmajña rājendra bharatasattama |

ビーシュマは言った。「そのとき、見るもおぞましいブラフマハティヤー(梵殺の罪)の恐るべき化身が—四肢を血にまみれさせ、ぼろ布と樹皮をまとい—ヴリトラの身体から現れ出るや、ただちに金剛杵(ヴァジュラ)を執るインドラを狩り求め始めた。おお、バーラタ族の最上の者よ、法を知る王よ!」
