Parāśara’s Counsel on बुद्धि (Discernment), Karma-Consequences, and Avoidance of Pāpānubandha Actions
ततो देवगणाः: क्रुद्धा: सर्वतः शरवृष्टिभि: । अश्मवर्षमपोहन्त वृत्रप्रेरितमाहवे,यह देख देवगण कुपित हो उठे। उन्होंने युद्धमें सब ओरसे बाणोंकी वर्षा करके वृत्रासुरके चलाये हुए पत्थरोंकी वर्षाको नष्ट कर दिया
tato devagaṇāḥ kruddhāḥ sarvataḥ śaravṛṣṭibhiḥ | aśmavarṣam apohanta vṛtrapreritam āhave ||
これを見て神々の軍勢は憤激した。戦のただ中で、彼らは四方より矢の雨を降らせ、ヴリトラの煽動によって放たれた石雨を打ち払い、ついには無に帰した――破壊的な猛攻に対し、規律ある力が用いられて戦場の秩序を取り戻すことを示している。
भीष्म उवाच
When destructive force is unleashed in conflict, dharmic resistance responds with disciplined, proportionate countermeasures aimed at stopping harm and re-establishing order rather than indulging in chaos.
Vṛtra causes a barrage of stones in battle; the gods become enraged and counter it by firing arrows from all directions, thereby dispersing and neutralizing the stone-shower.
