Instruction on the Cessation of Craving
न वीर पत्नीं विहरेत नारीं न चापि नारीमनृतावाह्दयीत । भायब्रितं ह्यात्मनि धारयीत तथास्योपस्थद्वारगुप्तिर्भवेत
na vīra patnīṁ viharet nārīṁ na cāpi nārīm anṛtāv āhvayīta | bhāryā-vrataṁ hy ātmani dhārayīta tathāsyopastha-dvāra-guptir bhavet, vīra yudhiṣṭhira ||
カピラは言った。「勇士よ、男は正妻とだけ交わり、他人の女に近づいてはならぬ。たとえ自らの妻であっても、ふさわしい時節でないなら合一のために呼び寄せてはならない。心中に一妻への貞節の誓いを堅く保て。そうしてこそ『腰の門』—欲情の関—は守られる。勇なるユディシュティラよ。」
