Kapila–Cow Dialogue: Authority of Householder and Renunciant Dharmas
The verse highlights unwavering steadiness in dharma: even when confronted with repeated comings and goings and the painful fact of beings abandoned by their parents, Jājali remains unshaken—suggesting ethical firmness, patience, and compassionate resolve rather than emotional instability.
Bhīṣma describes a situation where certain beings repeatedly return and depart continuously. They are said to have been abandoned by their mother and father. In the face of this recurring and distressing circumstance, Jājali does not falter, indicating his composed and resolute conduct.
