अधर्मो नास्ति ते मृत्यो संयच्छेमा: प्रजा: शुभे | मया हाक्त मृषा भद्रे भविता नेह किंचन
adharmo nāsti te mṛtyo saṁyacchemāḥ prajāḥ śubhe | mayā hy uktaṁ mṛṣā bhadre bhavitā neha kiṁcana ||
ビーシュマは言った。「おお死よ、汝に不義の罪は帰せられぬ。おお吉祥なる者よ、これらの生きものを抑え（あるいは差し止め）よ。おお柔和なる者よ、ここで我が語ったことは、決して虚偽となりえぬ。」
