Ātma-saṃyama-dharma: One-pointedness of Mind and Senses (शुक–व्यास संवादः)
धर्मलब्धर्युतो दारैरग्नीनुत्पाद्य यत्नत: । द्वितीयमायुषो भागं गृहमेधी भवेद् व्रती
dharmalabdhairyuto dārair agnīn utpādya yatnataḥ | dvitīyam āyuṣo bhāgaṁ gṛhamedhī bhaved vratī ||
ヴィヤーサは言った。正しい道によって妻を得たなら、細心の努力をもって家の聖火を स्थापित（建立）すべきである。ついで高貴な誓戒を守り、人生の第二の分—およそ五十歳に至るまで—自律ある家住者（グリハスタ）として、ダルマにかなって家の務めを営むべきである。
