Gṛhastha-vṛtti and Niyama: Models of Householder Livelihood and Discipline (गृहस्थवृत्ति-नियमाः)

वर्जयेदुशतीं वाचं हिंसां चाधर्मसंहिताम्‌ । एषा पूर्वगता वृत्तित्राह्मिणस्य विधीयते

varjayed uśatīṃ vācaṃ hiṃsāṃ cādharmasaṃhitām | eṣā pūrvagatā vṛttir brāhmaṇasya vidhīyate ||

ヴィヤーサは言った。「辛辣な言葉と暴力を慎んで離れよ。暴力はアダルマに結びつく。これは古来より伝わり、時に尊ばれてきた行いであり、バラモンの伝統の義務として命じられている。」
