śakra uvāca | dātāraḥ saṅgṛhītāra āryāḥ karuṇavedinaḥ | mahāprasādā ṛjavō dṛḍhabhaktā jitendriyāḥ ||
シャクラは言った。「彼らは施す者でありながら、富を慎み深く集め、正しく管理する者でもあった。高貴なる者(アーリヤ)にふさわしい作法に生き、慈悲を知り、他者への恩恵において大いなる者であった。性は率直で、信愛は堅く、諸根に勝利していたゆえ、規律ある布施と倫理の節制を体現していた。」
शक्र उवाच
True dharmic excellence combines generosity with responsible stewardship, compassion with active beneficence, and devotion with mastery over the senses—so that giving arises from discipline and noble character rather than impulse.
Indra (Śakra) describes the qualities of exemplary people, praising their charity, noble conduct, compassion, graciousness, straightforwardness, steadfast devotion, and self-control as a model of righteous life.
