मा च ते5भूत् स्वभावो5यमिति ते देवपुड्भव । ईश्वर: सर्वभूतानां विक्रमेण जितो बलातू
mā ca te 'bhūt svabhāvo 'yam iti te devapuṅgava | īśvaraḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ vikrameṇa jito balāt ||
ビーシュマは言った。「神々の中の最勝者よ、そのような思いを起こしてはならぬ。『我が力と武勇によって、万有の主を征服した』などと思うな。あらゆる生きとし生けるものの至上の統御者は、ただ力や武勲だけで真に打ち負かされるものではない。」
