Time-Reckoning, Yuga-Dharma, and the Sequence of Creation
शचीपति इन्द्र! जैसे तुम हो, वैसे ही बल और पराक्रमसे सम्पन्न अनेक सहस्र इन्द्र समाप्त हो चुके हैं ।।
tvām apy atibalaṃ śakra devarājaṃ balotkaṭam | prāpta-kāle mahāvīryaḥ kālaḥ saṃśamayīṣyati ||
シャチーの主インドラに告げられた。「汝のごとく力と武勇に満ちた幾千のインドラも、すでに終焉に至った。おおシャクラよ、汝は自らをこの上なく強大なる者、天界の王、猛き力の持ち主と思うであろう。だが定めの時が来れば、大いなる威力をもつ時(カーラ)が、汝をも鎮めてしまう。」
श॒क्र उवाच
No power or status—however divine—escapes Kāla (Time). The ethical lesson is to restrain pride, recognize impermanence, and act with humility and dharmic self-control.
A speaker addresses Indra (Śakra), reminding him that countless Indras before him have perished and that, when the appointed time comes, Time itself will subdue even the king of the gods.
