Śarīrin, Buddhi, and the Limits of Sense-Perception (इन्द्रियबुद्धिशरीरिविचारः)
निर्दन्द्धा नित्यसत्त्वस्था विमुक्ता नियमस्थिता: । असड्ान्यविवादीनि मन:शान्तिकराणि च
nirdvandvā nityasattvasthā vimuktā niyamasthitāḥ | asaṅgāny avivādīni manaḥśāntikarāṇi ca ||
ビーシュマは言った。「禅定ヨーガの修行者は、寒暑などの二元(対立)を離れ、つねにサットヴァ(sattva)の徳に住し、諸々の過失から解き放たれ、清浄と知足などの規律に堅く立て。執着と散乱のない場所、争いを招くもののない場所、心を静める場所を選べ。」
भीष्म उवाच
A meditator should cultivate inner steadiness—freedom from dualities, a sattvic disposition, and disciplined observances—and should choose a quiet, non-attaching, non-contentious environment that naturally calms the mind.
