वैश्य: कश्चिदृषिसुतं काश्यपं संशितव्रतम् । रथेन पातयामास श्रीमान् दृप्तस्तपस्विनम्
bhīṣma uvāca | vaiśyaḥ kaścid ṛṣisutaṃ kāśyapaṃ saṃśitavratam | rathena pātayāmāsa śrīmān dṛptas tapasvinam ||
ビーシュマは言った。「昔、富裕な商人（ヴァイシャ）の一人が、財の驕りに酔い、車でカश्यパ――仙人の子で、厳しい誓戒に堅く立つ苦行者（タパスヴィン）――をはね倒し、地に落とした。」
