तदनन्तर काश्यपने इन्द्रदेवका पूजन किया और उनकी आज्ञा लेकर वे पुनः अपने घरको लौट गये ।। इति श्रीमहाभारते शान्तिपर्वणि मोक्षधर्मपर्वणि शृुगालकाश्यपसंवादे अशीत्यधिकशततमो<ध्याय:
tadanantaraṁ kāśyapena indradevakaḥ pūjitaḥ, tasya cājñāṁ gṛhītvā te punaḥ svagṛhaṁ pratyāgacchan. iti śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi mokṣadharmaparvaṇi śṛgālakāśyapasaṁvāde aśītyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ.
そののちカश्यパはインドラ神を礼拝し、その許しを得て、ふたたび自らの家へと帰っていった。かくして『マハーバーラタ』「シャーンティ・パルヴァ」中「モークシャダルマ」部、豺（ジャッカル）とカश्यパの対話における第百八十章（別の数え方では第百八十一章）は終わる。
