अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम्‌ । निर्वेदान्मड़किना गीतं तन्निबोध युधिष्ठिर

Transliteration

atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṃ purātanam | nirvedān maḍakinā gītaṃ tan nibodha yudhiṣṭhira ||

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「このことについても、人々は古の故事を引いて譬えとする。ユディシュティラよ、聞け。これは、聖仙マダキーが離欲の心から歌い上げた言葉である。われはその古き物語を汝に語ろう。」
